Your post is very helpful and information is reliable. I am satisfied with your post. Thank you so much.
Thanks for posting such an informative reading. I was not sure of the cause. But your fixes worked well for me.
we have epson t20111 model reciept printere, but its printing bfine but unfortunatly barcode part is missing.
Anybody who has kids must be aware of the last-minute requirements of print outs. Two days back my little one asked me to take out a print for his class presentation at 11 pm. It was not troubling as I have a printer at my place until my Epson printer skipping lines issue bothered me. As I told you it was late at night hence I could get it fixed next morning only. But then my son started sobbing about the presentation and I ended up looking for the solution online itself. I read a lot of articles but the steps mentioned were quite complicated to me as I am not a tech-savvy. The very first solution asked to Run the clean print cartridges utility and I was impressed with the result. After that, I printed the required pages for my kid and became the supermom in his eyes.
Thank you. This 73 year old tech illiterate fixed her Epson 640 with the skipping lines problem. Not sure which of your suggestions worked. I tried them all. All good now.
Kithe, Linda, Where is the "ink port" on the printer, and on the cartridge? It may seem intuitive, but I don't want to screw up the printer.
Epson WF-3620 is leaving blank areas on the page when printing a Word document.
Prints from a spreadsheet perfect. Prints of grey pictures from Power point - not bad.
Prints from pdf of a Word document have the same problem as word.
Any thoughts?
Hi. I tried nozzle check/clean, print head alignment and the water trick. No idea which one of those made it work, but all good now. Thank you!
I have poor quality copying with yellow or white stripes through the pictures and white stripes of words missing when printing landscape. looks terrible
Very frustrating to have a perfect nozzle check printout and then have blank lines on a simple black and white document. I tried hot hater and got missing lines in nozzle check, so back to clean nozzles again, which brought it back, but in real printing still missing lines several places a page, a few inches apart. Bad flex cable? Bad print driver? The defects seem to stay on the same place on the page, which makes one wonder if the cart is OK and something else is preventing the ink flow in the driver.
Hello,
MR DAVID G PICKETT
If after the nozzle check printer are not printing then you may need to repeat the head cleaning and check again. You should repeat this process 3,4 times, If this error still persist that means some of the ink cartridge may be old or damage so you may need to replaced. To replace an ink cartridge before it is empty.
If this issue still persist then you should talk to technical support.
thank you, it solved my problem ^_^
Thank you! The water trick worked. My stylus 420 was skipping printing about every inch or so and after cleaning the nozzle and heads, still wasnt working. Was about to buy a new printer.
Well I’m trying the water trick, I’ll see what happens
My printer was skipping lines, hot water in the nozzle did the trick?
The printer was printing faint text and it was not set to draft print but normal print so I did a printhead cleaning. After the printhead cleaning my epson printer is now missing lines when printing. What else shall i do?
Nothing has help me fix my epson printer skipping lines. It still has the same problem.
Excellent!! I used to have the epson printer skipping lines almost every time i had to take a print out. The print head cleaning helps but the skipping lines comes back after few pages printing. Manually cleaning the ink cartridge resolved the problem. thanks
My epson printer was working perfectly fine yesterday and today morning when i powered it on, the prints were skipping lines. I have done all the test but it is still giving me the same
Thank you my epson printer skipping lines problem is now gone. The printer utility tool did it.
I have tried all the steps, the print quality is much better however the printer printing lines is still visible on some pages
If i print a few documents there is no problem with my epson printer but when i print in bulk, the printer start skipping lines. It skip lines after the 10th or the 11th page. What am i supposed to do?
My epson printer starts printing after running the Clean the Printer Cartridges and continuous print pages with no errors or lines missing. The problem with this epson printer is that if i want to take another print after few hours(5 to 6 hours later) or the next day this epson wf 2760 printer begins to print with lines missing again……. I have to clean the print head which cost me a lot of my time and the printer ink. What could be done to fix this?
Tried all the steps mentioned above as well as dipping some few drops of hot water in the ink port but my epson printer still skipping lines. I don’t use my printer too often. Got it as a gift and it has been lying in the corner of the room for quite some time. The ink cartridge is full and last time i used it was more than 3 months ago. So one thing i want to ask , is it that my epson printer skipping lines because the ink cartridge is clogged with dust and dried ink? and if so what would be the best solution to stop this? Because replacing the ink cartridge will not help as i will not be using it again for a long time and the same problem of skipping lines will come back. Wasting all my efforts and my money.
I thought my epson printer skipping lines was due to the ink cartridge gone faulty and was about to purchase a new cartridge but cleaning up the printer ink cartridge with hot water suggested by Kithe did the job. Thanks for the additional steps
I did not get it fixed . my epson printer is still printing with lines missing. This epson printer is just 3 months old and its giving me too much problem
Finally an article that makes sense on how to troubleshoot for epson printer printing with lines missing. Very easy to understand for a novice like me and got it right on the second step. Thanks a lot.
I have read many online help article that suggested resetting the printer, cleaning the printhead using the utility tools, removed and put it back but my epson printer just keeps printing with lines missing. The second step, cleaning the contacts did the trick but before replacing the cartridge in the printer i dribble a few (just four to five) drops of hot water into the ink port in the printer and two- three drops into the ink port on the cartridge. It worked fine after that
Putting a couple of drops of warm water in the the ink port fix the white lines. Thanks Kithe
I have the same problem. It is as though a RAM memory block in the printer is completely defect.
not sure how the memory is configured, but I miss something like 5 memory block lines per page or more.
That is HORIZONTAL full block lines, not single printerhead lines.
